Description | Thiel embalmed cadavers will be used for anatomy teaching, training in clinical skills and surgical procedures. A maximum of two participants will be assigned to an embalmed cadaver. URS on day 1 and TURP on day 2(including Urolift and Rezum (greenlight laser simulation only) At the end of the course, the participants will be able to perform rigid and flexible ureteroscopy and TURP on Thiel cadavers. | ||||||
Additional information | The anatomy lab corridor is been run under NHS rules. A face mask must be worn as you enter the University site, you will need to provide your own mask. Please read the the Dissecting room Regulations before attending the day. | ||||||

Aims | At the end of the course, the participants will be able to perform rigid and flexible ureteroscopy in the models and TURP on Thiel cadavers. | ||||||
Learning outcomes | On completion of this course participants will be able to: Describe and choose the appropriate equipment and technique for ureteroscopy and TURP. Discuss patient selection, information and preparation for each. Describe the risks, results and complications. Demonstrate safe and effective basic technique for the above procedures. | ||||||
