DescriptionDescription – This course will be delivered by a multidisciplinary team including hepatobiliary, upper gastro-intestinal, colorectal, urology and gynaecological oncology surgeons. Cadavers will be used for delegates to practice techniques as instructed by surgeons of different specialties. HPB - Mr Vivek Upasari; Upper GI - Mr Sam Mehta ; Urology - Mt Sanjeev Kotwal; Colorectal - Mr Rick Saunders

This course aimed at gynaecological oncology surgeons for consultants and senior trainees. 

 The course is kindly  sponsored by Medtronic. The course director is Mr George  Theophilou, The Leeds Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust 

 Please read the dissecting room regulations before attending the course.

Surgical gowns, over shoes, facemasks and gloves are provided for the lab. If you wish to wear theatre blues please bring your own.

The anatomy lab is on Level 9, Worsley Building, University of Leeds

Aims To understand and practice techniques used in advanced cytoreductive surgery for gynaecological cancer.

Objectives

Objectives

To understand the surgical anatomy and surgical steps required for cytoreductive surgery in all the areas within the abdomen. Tips and tricks will be explained by surgeons of different specialties and delegates will have the opportunity to try these techniques on cadavers in real time.
