Additional information | · The course is free for Yorkshire and Humber regional trainees. · Please read the dissecting room regulations before attending the course. · Surgical gowns, over shoes, facemasks and gloves are provided for the lab. If you wish to wear theatre blues please bring your own and return to your theatres. The course Lead is Mr Georgios Theophilou, Leeds Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust. It will NOT be possible to to undertake a Laparoscopic Hysterectomy on this day. Aims | Gynaecological Surgical Anatomy, robotic assistant techniques and procedures. To include - Set up of the Da Vinci system, including safety systems and fault management - Port placement and docking - Energy sources - Procedural skills | ||||
Objectives | To understand basics of assisting at robotic surgery. hysterectomy, peritonectomy, pelvic side wall dissection, including dealing with complications. | ||||
Learning outcomes | Anatomy, instrumentation, entry techniques, suturing, dealing with complications, tips and tricks. | ||||
