DescriptionRegional teaching day for CT1/ST1 trainees in South Yorkshire. The sessions will take place at the Medical Education Centre in Sheffield. Please make yourself aware of the social distancing policies at the centre before attending.
Additional information

In order to comply with MEC social distancing policies this course is for South Yorkshire trainees only. Please only book if you are undertaking a placement in South Yorkshire during the February 2021 to August 2021 rotation.

 

Programme - 06 May 2021

09:30 - 10:00 Registration and introduction to session

10:00 - 12:30 Clinical Skills: CT1 - Stomas formation

12:30 - 13:30 Lunch

13:30 - 15:30 Clinical Skills: CT1 – Operating at depth, closure of enterotomy, ligating vessels

 

Places limited to 20 trainees

5 bubbles of 4 trainees for clinical skills sessions (Bubble size depends on faculty availability)

Skills sessions will take place in UG Common Room, Procedure Skill room, and PG Common Room

The lecture will take place in the Lecture theatre and UG Common Room

Lunch and breaks will take place in Exhibition Area & Seminar Room 1 – 6
