Description1 day course for Urology and Interventional Radiologist trainees. Urology Trainees (ST6-8) IR (ST5 or ST6) Radiology Trainees with a sub- specialist interest in Uro -Intervention (ST5). The day will be a mixture of theory and practical skills on 4 thiel cadavers. 2 trainees per cadaver with the support of consultant faculty.
Additional information

· The course is free for Yorkshire and Humber regional trainees. Priority will be given to regional trainees.

· Non regional trainees please apply to CADSIM@LEEDS.AC.UK for availability and course payment details. The course fee is £500.00

· Please read the dissecting room regulations before attending the course.

· Surgical gowns, over shoes, facemasks and gloves are provided for the lab. If you wish to wear theatre blues please bring your own and return to your theatres.

Pre-procedure planning to select the appropriate site of puncture for a nephrostomy

To familiarise different kits used for a puncture

A step-by-step guide to a successful puncture

Post-procedure planning and imaging

Gain knowledge on different ureteric stents (Allium, Uventa)

To understand indication, patient selection, technique and possible complications
