Description | This course covers non-mesh continence surgery aligned with the training requirements for the RCOG ATSM and the specialist Urology training programme. It is a ‘hands-on’ cadaveric operative course, with a ratio of 1:2 per cadaver, and is aimed at Senior Trainees in both Urology and Urogynaecology in the Yorkshire & Humber region. Programme Includes: ◦ Colposuspension ◦ Autologous Fascial Slings ◦ Urethral Bulking Agents ◦ Sacrospinous Fixation ◦ Intravesical Botox | ||||
Additional information | There are 4 places for Urogynaecology trainees and 4 places for Urology trainees. Please read the dissecting room regulations prior to attending the course.

Objectives | • To improve knowledge of pelvic anatomy and it’s relation to continence surgery. • Expert instruction and guidance through the surgical steps to perform non-mesh surgical continence procedures. • Hands-on experience to build confidence and skills in performing these procedures. • Support in the achievement of the essential advanced training competencies in urogynaecologyical / female urology surgery. | ||||
