Description | Thiel embalmed cadavers will be used for anatomy teaching, training in clinical skills and surgical procedures. A maximum of two participants will be assigned to an embalmed cadaver. At the end of the course, the participants will be able to perform rigid and flexible ureteroscopy on Thiel cadavers. | ||||||
Additional information | Please read the dissection room regulations prior to attending the course. You will be asked to sign that you have read the regulations prior to attending the course. Please read the additional 3 pre course material. The course Director is Mr Sanjay Rajpal, Airedale NHS Foundation Trust. The course is free for Yorkshire and Humber Trainees. Priority will be given to regional trainees. Non - regional trainees please contact CADSIM@leeds.ac.uk for availability and course fees. | ||||||

Aims | At the end of the course, the participants will be able to perform rigid and flexible ureteroscopy in the models on Thiel cadavers. | ||||||
Learning outcomes | On completion of this course participants will be able to: Describe and choose the appropriate equipment and technique for ureteroscopy. Discuss patient selection, information and preparation for each. Describe the risks, results and complications. Demonstrate safe and effective basic technique for the above procedures. | ||||||
