An online interactive ‘hands on’ workshop refreshing the Egan Model of Mentoring, including full model small group practice with feedback. Only for delegates of the full HEEYH Mentoring Development Programme . To gain the most from this session, you are expected to have read through your course book and be familiar with the Egan model.

To allow update, continuity and progression of trained Mentors in HEE YH.

Objectives

Sharing experiences of mentoring since being a trained Mentor.

Interactive style refreshing all the stages of the Egan Model with areas of development and some demonstration if required, eg brainstorming

By the end of the session delegates will have:

Refreshed Egan’s The Skilled Helper model of mentoring

Identified aspects of the model that require development/practice

Practiced in small groups through the model with a mentee and a real issue, being observed and feedback given.

More knowledge and confidence in mentoring
