Aims

To deliver a course designed to stretch the GDP understanding and skills of periodontal disease and treatments. 

Objectives

To cover the fundamentals of periodontology but build on this to consider when and where surgery might be appropriate. 

Refresh hand instrumentation and ultrasonic debridement techniques. 

Consider the use of antibiotics and anti-microbials as adjuncts

To experience practical aspects of periodontal surgery

Understand the scope of mucogingival surgery

Deliver effective periodontal disease treatment

Perform effective non surgical debridement
