Lecturer profileJen Kirby is a NHS Consultant in Paediatric Dentistry at Charles Clifford Dental Hospital in Sheffield. Jen graduated from the University of Glasgow In 2010. She completed Longitudinal Dental Foundation Training in 2012 and held Senior House Officer posts in both hospital and community dental settings. During this period she completed the Membership of the Faculty of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Glasgow and a PG Certificate in Medical Education. In 2014 she commenced her specialty training in Paediatric Dentistry in Sheffield completing her training in 2020. During her speciality training Jen did a Leadership Fellowship in Safeguarding within Sheffield Community and Special Care Dental Service. She also attained Masters in Clinical Dentistry, Membership in Paediatric Dentistry, Intercollegiate Speciality Examination in Paediatric Dentistry and a PG Cert in Medical Leadership.

Lecturer profileLucy is a Specialist in Paediatric Dentistry and is currently undertaking her post-CCST training at Leeds Dental Institute and Mid Yorkshire Community Dental Service. She has previously undertaken training in Restorative Dentistry, Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery and Special Care Dentistry in Yorkshire and the West Midlands. Special interests include dental trauma and safeguarding.

Lecturer profileLaura is a speciality registrar and academic clinical fellow in paediatric dentistry at the Charles Clifford Dental Hospital and the Mid Yorkshire Community Dental Service. She has a research interest in caries management and prevention for children.
Laura was recently awarded a research grant from the Royal College of Surgeons of England and the British Society of Paediatric Dentistry to involve children in SDF research and to explore the acceptability of SDF. She has produced guidance documents with the British Society of Paediatric Dentistry about the use of SDF for children. She had also published in Dental Update and Community Dental Health Journal on the use of SDF in children.
