| Lecturer profile | Born in 1961, I have over 35 years’ experience in the filtration and extraction industry with an HND in mechanical engineering (1982!) and specialise in fume and dust extraction design and installations, COSHH Regulations and LEV systems.
I was invited on a working group back in 1996 with the HSE and advised on the publication of solder fume extraction health guidance for the electronics industry as part of the COSHH Regulations, and now owner/director of Vodex Ltd who specialises in clean air extraction solutions for all industries ie Medical and NHS, Dentistry, Military, Electronics, Beauty, Chiropody, Aerospace, and Automotive Industries and many others, from small business to large blue-chip companies such as Bae, Sony, Panasonic, even suppliers to the HSE themselves. I have a certificate in ATEX dust and fume explosive atmospheres awareness and a member of BoHS.
