Lecturer profileJen Kirby is a NHS Consultant in Paediatric Dentistry at Charles Clifford Dental Hospital in Sheffield. Jen graduated from the University of Glasgow In 2010. She completed Longitudinal Dental Foundation Training in 2012 and held Senior House Officer posts in both hospital and community dental settings. During this period she completed the Membership of the Faculty of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Glasgow and a PG Certificate in Medical Education. In 2014 she commenced her specialty training in Paediatric Dentistry in Sheffield completing her training in 2020. During her speciality training Jen did a Leadership Fellowship in Safeguarding within Sheffield Community and Special Care Dental Service. She also attained Masters in Clinical Dentistry, Membership in Paediatric Dentistry, Intercollegiate Speciality Examination in Paediatric Dentistry and a PG Cert in Medical Leadership.

Lecturer profileImran is a current HEE leadership fellow and is a final year Oral Surgery Trainee.

He is a qualified Advanced Life Support instructor and leads a number of simulation based courses within dentistry. Imran is also developing and leading a sedation training network for Yorkshire and Humber and is an STAC accredited supervisor.

Imran has completed Postgraduate Certificates in Healthcare Education and more recently in Healthcare Leadership.

Lecturer profileGraduated with honours from Newcastle Dental School in 2000. Following vocational training in the Northeast and Senior House Officer posts in Manchester, I completed MFDS (2002).

In 2003, started StR training in paediatric dentistry in Liverpool where I attained Membership in Paediatric Dentistry (2006) and Masters in Clinical Dentistry (2007). Having completed the last part of FTTA training in Sheffield, I completed the Intercollegiate Fellowship examination (ISFE) in Nov 2008.

Currently working as a full time NHS consultant in Paediatric Dentistry at Charles Clifford Dental Hospital in Sheffield where I teach both post and undergraduates. I am also Clinical lead for Paediatric dentistry and Departmental audit lead. My special interests are dental trauma and paediatric exodontia.
