Lecturer profileVictoria Finnegan is currently employed as a regulation inspector throughout the North of England. Through this role she has developed her knowledge of health & safety and infection control to a high level.

Utilising her knowledge has enabled Victoria to mentor and manage her peer groups, dental nurses and external agencies on all manner of legislation and ‘best practice’ ensuring the highest levels of output are evident.

Victoria started out as a trainee Dental Nurse for the Armed Forces in Germany and completed her Dental Nurse NEBDN certificate. She continued to develop her skills and undertook the Oral Health Certificate and Radiography Certificate. From there she became a Dental Hygiene and Therapist at the University of Sheffield and worked for private, NHS, Dental Defence services and corporate practices along the way, she has also worked as a practice manager.

Victoria’s previous job role allowed her to mentor, assess and support all members of staff in a variety of practices commensurate to the dental profession. This interaction allowed her to provide an exemplary ethical standard as a role model and champion the British Dental Associate Good Practice Award.
Victoria has been involved with the National Oral Health Promotion Group for over 5 year and has held the position of Vice-chair and Treasurer for most of her participation.
