I have a keen interest in Postgraduate Education and was a founder member of the Hillsborough Study Group in Sheffield
I have a Certificate in Postgraduate Medical Education, am an Outreach Clinical Supervisor and lead, and have been a Foundation Trainer for many years.
My main clinical interest is Endodontics, and I take private referrals and in-house NHS referrals. I have run courses for GDPs and Foundation Dentists for many years and currently provide one-to-one tuition and coaching for our 3 FDs

Lecturer profilePhilip qualified from the University of Sheffield in 2009 With honours before completing foundation training and moving on to an associate position. He now works in General Practice providing teaching in an honoury role to Outreach Students from Sheffield University and Foundation Dentists (FD) as an Educatuonal supervisor. He also teaches FD endodontic day courses as part of East Midlands Deanery. Day to day he works in a mixed practice as well as providing emergency dentistry to patients as part of the out of hours access service. Phil took over a private specialist endodontic referral service in 2017 utilising the skills gained in his MSc Endo at UCLAN 2018 to tackle more complex cases. Recently he has taken up an endodontic advisory role for BUPA as part of their Dental Advisory Committee. Outside of work he enjoys golf, running and family time.
