Aims | To update and improve knowledge of the management of traumatic dental injuries (TDI) in children and adolescents. | ||
Objectives | To describe: · Classification of TDI and the importance of diagnosing combination injuries · History, examination and appropriate use of special tests · Acute management – what to do at the emergency appointment · Medium and long term management – how outcomes can be improved · Management of the poor prognosis anterior tooth | ||
Learning outcomes | Undertake a thorough history and examination including appropriate specials tests to arrive at an appropriate diagnosis Feel more confident managing acute dental trauma and planning appropriate review appointments Understand appropriate medium and long-term management of TDI with Special focus and understanding on management of the poor prognosis anterior tooth | ||
