Aims

It aims to improve awareness and knowledge of neurodiversity within dentistry. The aim is to make dentistry more neurodiverse friendly for both our patients and employees who have neurodiverse conditions such as autism, dyslexia, dyscalculia, dysgraphia, ADHD and developmental co-ordination disorder.

Objectives

Describe the models of disability

Identify how to implement the Equality act 2010

Describe how to adopt a neurodiverse friendly workplace in dentistry for patients and for employees and students.

Learning outcomes

On completion of this webinar students will be able to confidently apply knowledge of the legal requirements to provide reasonable adjustments to improve the experience of dentistry for our patients and employees / students with neurodiverse conditions.
