Delegates will be asked to complete a pre and post webinar on-line questionnaire to establish confidence and motivation to undertake the giving of oral health education to patients and parents.

To gain greater understanding of the basics of oral health education in the hope of boosting OH Champions’ confidence in the role - as part of the Yorkshire & Humber Flexible Commissioning Prevention Pathways.

To understand the aetiology of caries.

Modifying factors

Social history and dietary habits

To discuss the pattern of sugar intake.

Understand the difference between gingivitis and periodontitis.

Explore dental team roles in prevention of dental disease.

By the end of this webinar, delegates should feel an improved confidence in delivering oral health education to patients.
