Aims

This session provides theory and clinical hands on skills in guided biofilm therapy and encourages use of various techniques and products to successfully manage patients.

Objectives

This session will discuss, explain and practice:

Assessments of patients requiring GBT.

Full airflow and perioflow techniques.

How to sucessfully integrate GBT into general practice.

Learning outcomes

By the end of the session you will be able to

Describe the truths and myths surrounding the use of Airflow

Understand Airflow’s design features and why the technology is aligned with comfort and minimal intervention Apply Airflow’s full scope of practice and how to utilise it to suit different dental patients.

Have a better understanding of technique and the role that correct angulation and positioning play in achieving the best results.
