Aims

To provide an update on how to manage dental issues in the mixed dentition in order to minimise or prevent a future malcocculsion in the permanent dentition

Objectives

Disscuss the guidance of teeth eruption and correction of malocclusion by early intervention in order to improve future outcome

  • Recognition of dental pathology or related conditions , early referral and commencement of appropriate treatment.
  • Identify and eliminate habits and any other abnormalities that contribute to malocclusion.
  • Management of space in the developing dentition.
