| Aims | - Opportunity for Educational Supervisors to provide feedback on dental foundation/therapy training
- To receive an update on any national/local developments in respect of Dental Foundation Training
- To enhance general practitioners’ understanding and recognition of common oral medicine conditions.
- To provide the educational supervisors with an understanding of the background of the current generation of trainees, and as such to facilitate their transition from University to General Dental Practice
- Opportunity to attend workshops on topics including clinical photography, TMJ and vicarious liability

| Objectives | - To understand the current position of Dental Foundation Training in Yorkshire and the Humber
- To identify and describe common oral presentations
- Identify and understand ways in which the ES can facilitate the transition from Dental School to Foundation Training

| Learning outcomes | Participants should be able to: - Differentiate between benign and potentially serious oral conditions using clinical signs and patient history.
- Recognize oral manifestations of systemic diseases
- Understand key features that may suggest malignancy or autoimmune disease and warrant urgent referral.
- Develop an approach to initial management and appropriate investigation of oral medicine cases in primary care.
- Communicate effectively with patients regarding oral symptoms, especially when reassurance or specialist referral is required.
- Summarise the implications of modern parenting, education systems, technology, and changes in society on Generation Z.
- Analyse the effect of the workplace environment of dentistry, on the professional development of Generation Z.
