To present a summary of the current evidence-base regarding ADHD in children and adults

Objectives

To promote awareness and acceptance of ADHD by enhancing understanding of the condition as a whole.
To identify potential barriers to dental care for patients with ADHD and explore how our profession can work to reduce or eliminate these obstacles.
To consider the measures necessary to foster equality, diversity, and inclusion within our workplace.

Learning outcomes

Participants will be able to describe the key characteristics and challenges associated with ADHD in both children and adults.
Participants will be able to identify common barriers to dental care for patients with ADHD and be aware of strategies to address these obstacles.
