Aims

To provide an update of modern techniques for root canal preparation and obturation and give participants a chance to practice different techniques before trying their new skills in practice

Objectives
  1.  Case pre-selection for techniques including hand instrumentation, wave one, pro-taper.
  2.  The advantages and disadvantages of cold lateral compaction and heated techniques.
  3.  The correct application of the above techniques through the use of real patient cases.
Learning outcomes
  1.  Be able to apply knowledge to correctly select those endodontic cases with which modern preparation and obturation techniques can be applied.
  2.  Plan endodontic procedures with an understanding of the limitations of each technique.
