DescriptionThis half day, hands-on course is designed to improve a delegates understanding of the use dental photography in practice, consent, the basics of photography, photographic equipment and the settings required for use in practice. The course will also provide participants with the opportunity to develop their practical skills for clinical practice.

Aims

This course will cover the practical and theoretical aspects of clinical photography in dental practice.

Objectives
  • Discuss the use of dental photography within dentistry
  • Understand the settings required for different views in dental photography
  • Be able to practice technique and take both intra oral and extra oral photographs

At the end of the course all participants should be able to:

  • List the equipment and accessories required to take clinical photographs
  • Discuss the consent and storage processes for clinical images
  • Describe the appropriate camera settings
  • Demonstrate how to take the standard intra oral and extra oral views
