This course will provide you with knowledge and ideas of what can be implemented in practice to minimise our environmental impact. Identify the environmental impact of oral healthcare & highlight how the end user (profession, patient & consumer) can positively affect this through collaboration & the pursuit of good oral health.

Objectives
  • An increased awareness that oral healthcare has a significant environmental impact.
  • An understanding of practical steps to engage in environmentally sustainable oral healthcare provision.
  • An example of the impact that good oral healthcare can have on the lifetime carbon footprint of a dental patient’s care.
  • Ideas of what the dental team can do.

  • Demonstrate their awareness of the effects that oral healthcare can have on the environment
  • Identify changes to implement back in practice
