Description | This training course supports dental nurses who are involved with the NHS Level 2 programme in paediatric dentistry or are currently working with this specific paediatric target group. Module 1 – Introduction to the Role, Legislation and Guidance Module 2 – Plaque Indices and Effective Plaque Removal Module 3 – Prevention of Dental Disease & Fluoride Application Module 4 – Paediatric Treatments and Procedures, Anxiety and Pain Management Module 5 – Multi-Disciplinary Working, Paediatric patients with additional needs Module 6 – Behaviour Management. | ||
Additional information | Dental Nurses must be GDC registered. Able to allocate a workplace clinical supervisor to support a competency workbook. Some independent study is required and dental nurses must have access to a digital device with camera and audio. | ||
