Aims | This course is designed to inform and guide delegates in the responsibilities of a General Dental Practice Legionella Responsible Person role. |
Objectives | 1. Identification of individual and company responsibilities and consequences of failure to adhere to these requirements. 2. An introduction tomthe HSE’s ACoP L8 and HS274 Part 2 and an explanation of other legally enforceable legislation relating to legionella. 3. Understand the key requirement of the HSE ACoP and HTM 01-05 to carry out a risk assessment on all properties containing water services. |
Learning outcomes | By the end of the day, delegates will hold sufficient knowledge to fully understand the legal implications of the relevant documentation and to understand how to implement a suitable control and management scheme for Legionella within their dental practice. |
