Aims

This course aims to instruct on contemporary approaches to oral health assessment, diagnosis and treatment planning for children, with special emphasis on the planning and delivery of preventive care.

Objectives

• Conducting effective oral health assessment and oral health review for children • Understanding and interpreting the diagnosis • Understanding the role of risk assessment and constructing appropriate treatment plans • Designing and delivering an appropriate preventive plan for individual child patients

Learning outcomes

• Enhance their skills on taking bitewing radiographs in child patients • Improve their skills in taking comprehensive histories to enable holistic care of child patients • Be aware of the evidence base concerning caries management in children
