Aims | This course aims to instruct on contemporary approaches to oral health assessment, diagnosis and treatment planning for children, with special emphasis on the planning and delivery of preventive care. |
Objectives | • Conducting effective oral health assessment and oral health review for children • Understanding and interpreting the diagnosis • Understanding the role of risk assessment and constructing appropriate treatment plans • Designing and delivering an appropriate preventive plan for individual child patients |
Learning outcomes | • Enhance their skills on taking bitewing radiographs in child patients • Improve their skills in taking comprehensive histories to enable holistic care of child patients • Be aware of the evidence base concerning caries management in children |
