Aims

To discuss the theoretical basis for conventional and resin bonded bridgework and provide delegates with an opportunity to practice and develop their clinical skills with these restorations.

Objectives

· to consider the indications /limitations of adhesive bridges vs conventional bridges · to discuss maintenance/ longevity of adhesive/ conventional bridgework · to discuss tooth preparation & retention/ resistance of both conventional and resin bonded bridge retainers · to highlight the importance of accurate master impression/locating impression/jaw registration · to undertake practical exercises preparing a 3 unit conventional metal ceramic & 3 unit all ceramic bridge
