The aims are to discuss the aging process and management of older people in primary care, during domiciliary care, and in residential care.

Objectives

The programme will discuss and describe: The aging process and age related changes to oral health and the oral cavity Management of aging dentition including risk factors of oral disease, preventing disease, and treating older patients Domiciliary and residential care including visit planning and referrals to multi professional teams

By the end of the programme, you will be able to apply knowledge and understanding to supporting an older patient population.
