Aims

To provide training in managing medical emergencies in the dental setting

Objectives

Develop knowledge of resuscitation within the dental setting. Discuss the ABCDE assessment process. Explain the immediate management of the sick adult and child. To discuss the emergency drugs and equipment that should be available in the dental practice.

Learning outcomes

Manage medical emergencies in the dental surgery with increased confidence. Implement changes in their dental setting to improve patient safety.
