Aims

The purpose of the session is to give you an opportunity to reflect on, refine and hone your teaching skills, to enable you to support your trainees better. As a clinical supervisor the content of the workshops will have direct relevance to your practice.

Objectives
  • To discuss the role of the supervisor
  • To discuss elements of providing effective feedback
  • To go over the work based assessments used a part of the level 2 programme
Learning outcomes

By the end of the session participants should be able to:

Critically review the role of the clinical supervisor

Explore and action the principles of good practice associated with provision of effective feedback

Critically evaluate work based assessments used in practice
