DescriptionThe British Society of Paediatric Dentistry is delighted to be hosting this lecture on the Classification of Periodontal Diseases. This update will allow the audience to ensure they understand and hence correctly implement the new classification into clinical practice. The speaker, James completed undergraduate dental training at the University of Birmingham where he was awarded a clinical distinction. Following graduation he completed foundation training and hospital jobs within oral and maxillofacial surgery and restorative dentistry. Prior to specialist training James spent a short time split between general practice and as a hospital speciality dentist. Currently he works as a full time speciality registrar within the Leeds Dental Institute, where he has completed a research masters in digital dentistry and completed periodontal speciality exams with the Royal College of Surgeons. Outside of dentistry James enjoys fell walking and travelling.
