Aims

To gain an appreciation of the skills and techniques Educational supervisors can employ to help the Foundation Dentist progress through DFT

Objectives

· Introduction to the DFT year and using the portfolio

· Introduction to different teaching styles and how they can benefit a FD

· To have a better understanding on the purpose of Work-place based assessments

· Practice Feedback both verbal and written to help with an FD’s learning

· Evaluate your own teaching style and methods

Appreciate early warning signs for a ‘struggling FD’ and how to help them.
