  • Define abuse and types of abuse
  • Define neglect and dental neglect
  • Discuss how to manage child protection cases
  • Report cases and identify stakeholders involved
  • Recognise that the whole dental team should be well-informed of safeguarding procedures and know who to contact when concerns arise.
