To give DCP’s an insight into the treatment of head and neck cancers and the possible side effects the patient might experience

Objectives

  • To have an insight into what cancer treatments are available
  • To understand the oral side effects cancer treatment can cause
  • To have the knowledge and confidence to support the oral health of the patient during and after treatment
  • To have the confidence to discuss head and neck cancer and prevention of the disease with patients
