Aims | - To comprehensively discuss the contemporary advantages, disadvantages and indications for the use of removable dentures (partials and completes), bridgework (conventional and adhesive) and implant supported superstructures in Restorative Dentistry.

Objectives | After the presentation, delegates should: - Be able to clinically assess a partially or completely dentate patient and appreciate whether a fixed or removable prosthesis is indicated to replace any missing teeth.
- Have an understanding of when a partial or complete denture may be indicated to rehabilitate a patient.
- Understand how to prosthetically rehabilitate a gagging patient with a removable training plate.
- Appreciate the indications, design features and limitations of adhesive bridge work.
- Understand the uses, advantages and disadvantages of conventional bridgework.
- Appreciate how dental implants can be used to restore single unit spaces, small spans and complete arches.
- Understand the maintenance requirements and longevity of adhesive bridge work, conventional bridgework and implant retained superstructures.
