Aims | What a delegate can hope to take from the workshop To be able to carry out an analysis of the organisation and its environment By looking at what delegates are currently doing well and understanding what they do not do so well. Also start to find out what patients want from the practice and so the manager will be able to begin to formalise short and long-term plans. How to devise a mission statement and some strategic objectives for an organisation The manager will then start to identify how this overall plan for the practice can be structured into both a vision, in the form of mission statement, and some clear goals, in the form of strategic objectives. The use of SMART objectives and strategy versus tactics is explained. Be able to prepare an implementation plan The vision and goals can then be broken down further into the basics of an implementation plan which can then act as an immediate and structured approach to bringing improvement to the practice. Devise how to communicate the plan and get buy-in from the practice team In order for this structured approach to work, the vision and the goals must be clearly communicated to all levels of staff. The final part of this workshop will look at how this can be done to maximise the chances of understanding and buy-in from the team. | ||
