Aims
  • Discuss the evidence for a biological approach to caries management.
  • Outline the choice of interventions appropriate for managing caries in the primary and permanent dentitions.
  • Specifically discuss the role of sealants in caries management, including newly developed approximal sealants.
  • Discuss the conventional and Hall technique for placement of preformed metal crowns and their applications.
  • Apply treatment planning concepts to clinical case scenario.
  • Provide hands on teaching in placement of preformed metal crowns and other interventions for management of caries in the developing dentition
