Delegates should ideally need to bring their own camera to use on the course. However, there will be some cameras available for delegates who are not able to bring their own.

Important Information for Face to Face Courses

Please ensure you have a suitable face covering following government guidance. If you are exempt from wearing a face covering please notify us as soon as possible.

Please note: A face visor or shield may be worn in addition to a face covering but not instead of one. This is because face visors or shields do not adequately cover the nose and mouth, and do not filter airborne particles.

For delegates attending face to face courses please be advised that your details may be shared with NHS Test and Trace if requested.

Should they have symptoms of coronavirus (a high temperature, a new continuous cough or a loss or change to sense of smell or taste), they should not attend an event and let the organisers know by contacting dentaladmin.yh@hee.nhs.uk.

To provide an overview of skills and techniques needed to produce good clinical photographs.

• Understand what camera equipment and accessories are required and why
• Choose the correct camera settings for predictable results
• Know the many uses of photography within the dental practice, in particular the importance of medicolegal documentation
• Position themselves, their assistant, and the patient to be able to take several key photographic views
• Take high quality portraiture images for orthodontic assessment and documentation
• Recognise the most important sources of further information, including websites, articles and textbooks

• Be able to take a full series of Standardised Clinical Views
• Be able to take high quality portraiture images for orthodontic assessment and documentation
