DescriptionWhat do you do with grumpy middle aged cynical dentist? How do you stop becoming a miserable old bat? In health care we all suffer from compassion fatigue. What can we do to help minimise the effect of this and still have the energy to give to others? This presentation looks at our motivations for dental volunteerism and explores the opportunities we have in practice from opening a door and giving a smile to providing care in countries where people still die of toothache.
