To provide an update for Educational Supervisors involved with Dental Foundation Training

· To discuss the outcomes of the SCDFT pilot year

· To examine the forthcoming year is closer detail – year planner

· To consider an FD’s perspective of what makes a successful training year

· To consider the possibilities research opportunities within DFT

· To examine the rationale for the provision of lower cobalt chrome dentures

Understand the regional outcomes for this year’s SCDFT pilot

Identify key dates and deadlines within the training year

Identify and understand what FD’s are looking for in their training practice

Understand what opportunities are available for research within the DFT programme
