Medical Emergencies in the dental setting are rare, but may occur at any time. Clarity on the standards of care required of members of the dental team faced with an acutely unwell person has been set out by the Resuscitation Council (UK) and endorsed by the General Dental Council (GDC). This document reflects the changing expectations of the public as well as those of healthcare professionals.
