DescriptionDay 1 focuses on building foundational skills for educational supervision. Participants will explore how to create safe and effective learning environments, balance patient care with supervision responsibilities and develop teaching and assessing methods to meet diverse learner needs.

Includes interactive activities, discussions, and group work.

Aims

To equip participants with the skills to provide quality educational supervision, create a safe learning environment, balance clinical duties with supervision, and facilitate effect learning.

Objectives
  1. Understand the role of educational supervisors in ensuring patient safety and learner autonomy.
  2. Develop skills to create tailored induction programs for learners.
  3. Explore different educational theories to meet the diverse learning needs of supervisees.
  4. Learn the fundamentals of workplace-based assessments and explore effective feedback models.
