Participants will develop strategies to recognise and adapt communication approaches to support effective and inclusive learning environments.
Additional information

This session explores communication styles in the context of medical training and how differences in communication can affect feedback, supervision and workplace relationships. We will consider how factors such as personality, culture and neurodiversity may influence communication preferences and behaviours.

The session will focus on how educators can recognise and respond to communication differences, including adapting feedback and interaction styles to support understanding and psychological safety. Practical strategies will be shared to support clearer, more effective and inclusive communication.

The session is interactive and reflective in style, using a combination of brief teaching, guided reflection and discussion. It is suitable for all educators, including those supporting doctors in training and those who identify as neurodivergent themselves.
