Objectives
  1. Understand the concepts of health inequalities, social determinants of health, social accountability in medical education and community orientation and how these apply to GP training
  2. Discuss the role of the GP in tackling health inequity and delivering “proportionate universalism”
  3. Understand the role of stigma, trauma and adverse childhood experiences in health and well-being and the role of the GP in addressing these, including through medical education
  4. Analyse the needs of your local population and explore how the education you provide is socially accountable and takes account of the needs of vulnerable groups
  5. Consider how social prescribing relates to GP training and how health and well-being can be co-produced
  6. Look at how eLearning, the arts and community assets can invigorate curriculum delivery around community orientation, health inequalities and public health”
