Additional information

Pre-course work

• If you have wireless laptop please bring it with you.

• Please get your trainee’s permission to look at their ePortfolio in small groups

Working mainly in a small group workshop format, focusing on your experience and learning needs, which may include:

Review and reflect on our experiences of WPBA:

  • All you have ever thought or done about WPBA, but never dared to share?
  • Share ideas about how to make the most of the assessment tools.

Organising training and WBPA:

  • Saving time as a trainer and as an educational supervisor.
  • Multiple trainees and other issues.

When it is difficult:

  • e.g. Inspiring the value of reflective practice in the skeptical GPR.
  • Linking WPBA to CSA or the AKT in the context of exam fails.

Ensuring GPRs are treated fairly by the process:

  • Standard setting, reliability and validity of assessment.
  • What is a WPBA ‘guideline’, and what is a tramline?
