DescriptionSupported Return to Training (SuppoRTT) is a centrally funded, but regionally delivered, NHS England programme which aims to support all postgraduate doctors and dentists in training to safely and confidently return to training after a sustained period of absence. Join this session to understand more about the programme and how you can better support residents, before, during and after time out of training.

Aims

To increase knowledge and understanding of the Supported Return to Training programme, and to support trainees prior to time out, during and upon their return to training.

Objectives
  • Consider the degrees of support required (depending on trainee’s individual circumstances, and reason for time out of training).
  • Explore the varying needs of individual’s out for health reasons (including complex returners).
  • Understand the differing needs of trainees on OOPR vs parental leave.
