DescriptionSupported Return to Training (SuppoRTT) is a centrally funded, but regionally delivered, NHS England programme which aims to support all postgraduate doctors and dentists in training to safely and confidently return to training after a sustained period of absence. Join this session to understand more about the programme and how you can better support trainees, before, during and after time out of training.
Additional information

The SuppoRTT programme is available to all trainees who are absent from their training for a period of three months or more, regardless of the reason. Those who are absent for a shorter period are eligible to access SuppoRTT courses only.

This course is open to TPDs, ES’s and CS’s to help increase your understanding of the Supported Return to Training Programme.

Aims

To increase knowledge and understanding of the Supported Return to Training programme, and to support trainees prior to time out, during and upon their return to training.

Objectives

· Consider the degrees of support required (depending on trainee’s individual circumstances, and reason for time out of training).

· Explore the varying needs of individual’s out for health reasons (including complex returners).

· Understand the differing needs of trainees on OOPR vs parental leave.
