Target audience

This course is restricted to trainee doctors and dentists who are taking time out of training or who have returned to training within the last 3 months. Please only book if you meet this criteria. IMG trainee doctors may also attend within their first 6 months of working within the NHS. (IMG = International Medical Graduate.)

Aims

This course aims to equip participants with the knowledge and skills to effectively implement the Tiny Habits® behavior change model, pioneered by Stanford research scientist Dr. BJ Fogg, enabling them to create positive habits and make lasting impacts on various aspects of their lives.

Objectives

1. Understand the fundamental principles of the Tiny Habits® behavior change model, including the role of behavior, prompts, and celebrations in habit formation.

2. Explore techniques for designing effective Tiny Habit® Recipes tailored to individual goals and preferences.

3. Learn practical strategies for implementing Tiny Habits® to initiate and sustain positive behavior changes without relying on willpower or motivation.

4. Apply the concepts learned in the workshop to develop three personalised Tiny Habit® recipes that align with specific goals and desired outcomes.

5. Engage in hands-on activities and discussions to reinforce understanding and facilitate the application of Tiny Habits® principles in real-life situations.

6. Reflect on personal experiences and challenges related to habit formation, and identify strategies for overcoming barriers to behavior change.

7. Gain confidence in applying the Tiny Habits® method to various aspects of life, including health, productivity, and well-being.

8. Develop a plan for integrating Tiny Habits® into daily routines and sustaining long-term behavior changes beyond the workshop.

9. Collaborate with peers to share insights, feedback, and support for continued growth and development in implementing Tiny Habits®.
