Aims

The aim is to provide you with the knowledge on Dyslexia and Dyspraxia to support postgraduates through their course an into the working environment.

Objectives

The objectives for this course are:

  • To understand what dyslexia and dyspraxia is and how this might affect someone working in a clinical environment.
  • To explore the challenges and strengths of dyslexia and dyspraxia.
  • To recognise what adjustments are available.
  • To apply this knowledge to support a postgraduate through their course and into the working clinical environment.
Learning outcomes

On completion of the course, you will:

  • Know what dyslexia and dyspraxia is and be able to explain in your own words
  • Identify common strengths and challenges of dyslexia and dyspraxia.
  • Support a postgraduate with confirmed or suspected dyslexia and dyspraxia through their course and into the clinical working environment
  • Have an awareness of appropriate adjustments for colleagues or students with dyslexia and dyspraxia.
